Coronation Street spoilers: Audrey Roberts devastated as love interest Geoff Metcalfe asks Yaseem Nazir out on a date instead

AUDREY Roberts is in the wars in Corrie next week when she lands herself back in hospital with an injured ankle - only to see her crush move for another woman.
The salon owner steps in to intervene in an argument between Sally Metcalfe and Yasmeen Nazir and ends up injuring herself for her troubles.
The injury means a trip to A&E for Audrey, played by Corrie veteran Sue Nicholls, and she’s pleased when she meets Geoff Metcalfe, the hospital DJ.
She bonded with him during her last stay at Weatherfield General after being knocked over by Simon Barlow and his thug mates.
To Audrey’s disappointment Yasmeen is unimpressed with her new love interest, but Geoff, actor Ian Bartholomew, turns on the charm and manages to win Yasmeen over.
But things go a bit too far when Geoff ends up asking Yasmeen (Shelley King) out on a date, leaving Audrey on the side-lines.
Will Yasmeen accept his offer of a date and how will Audrey react if she does?
Audrey has been quite smitten with Geoff since she accidentally mistook him for a doctor.

He explained he was the hospital DJ and then played a record for Audrey which impressed her.
They bonded further when Audrey locked herself in the DJ booth and had to take over his radio show, with direction from Geoff outside.
When she was due to leave hospital Geoff said he had relatives in Weatherfield so would probably see her around but it then turned out that Geoff is Corrie resident Tim Metcalfe’s dad.
