Rich Kids Go Skint viewers fiercely defend wealthy Fergus Prutton after he shows off £8,000 Rolex to struggling mum

RICH Kids Go Skint fans fiercely defended wealthy Fergus Prutton last night after he showed off £8,000 Rolex to a struggling mum.

Viewers insisted the Rich Kids of Instagram star should not be "made to feel bad" for growing up with money.

In the show, Fergus went to stay with a family living below the poverty line and viewers praised him for his "down-to-earth" attitude.

Fergus gained fame online after showing off his lavish lifestyle on Instagram, complete with expensive holidays and designer clothes.

The new show sent him to live with working mum Anna and her family, and experience what life without money is really like.

One scene featured him showing off his 21st birthday present  - an £8,000 Rolex watch - which Anna declared was worth six months of her salary.

However, viewers flocked to Twitter to defend Fergus and insisted he should not be judged over his family's riches.

One wrote: "@fergusprutton seems like a nice person I don't think it's his fault his family is wealthy #richkidsgoskint...

"It's the stereo types people judge on. @fergusprutton is down to earth #richkidsgoskint."

Another added: "The guy should learn the value of money but just feels like he is being made to feel bad for what she does not have.

"That isn't his fault, it is the lifestyle he has known and let's be honest we would all do the same if money was no object."

A third wrote: "#richkidsgoskint he seems really genuinely a nice person. I think he's handling the situation well."

One more commented: "She has no reason to apologise for her circumstances, but neither does he.

"She wants him to feel bad about his watch but he could have easily asked why she chose to have 4 kids."
