Lauren Goodger’s fans slam star for suggesting £100 is a normal amount to spend on three days of food
She made the comment in response to someone who criticised the cost of her juice diet
LAUREN Goodger has been slammed by fans after she suggested £100 is a reasonable amount to spend on three days of food.
The 31-year-old made the comment on social media in response to someone who criticised the cost of her juice diet, which she has been promoting this week.
The fan tweeted Lauren saying: "It's £100 for just 3 days of juice," to which the ex-Towie star replied: "Well think the price of 3 days of food and if you want to be clean it’s always more .. money is health xxx".
And she only seemed to rile fans further when she justified her lavish budget by saying: "If you buy salads and fish and veg and healthy food is generally more expensive (sadly).
"..it’s depends how much you invest into your diet and wellbeing .. you also can make juices at home or mix salad and soups with juice .. it’s not for everyone but it’s for me."
But some followers were left astonished and lambasted the amount she spends of food.
Writing on Twitter, one person took umbrage with her quote, "money is health", and said: "Perhaps you could pop down to a food bank and let people know - stupid!!!"
Someone else pointed out: "Health is wealth is the correct terminology".
Another said: "There are families that can’t afford £100 a month on food! Hate statements like this!"
One tweeted: "Wouldn't spend £100 on food in 3 days could for about 2 weeks on that".
This follower said: "I’m a family of 5 and I don’t get that for shopping a week let alone one person for 3 days."
Another bemused fan wrote: "What food are u eating if your spending nearly £100 in 3 days!!!! Money is health....what even is that?!"
Having her final say on the barrage of criticism, Lauren eventually corrected her earlier blunder after saying "money is wealth" instead of "health is wealth".
She tweeted: "Jeez what I meant was health IS wealth..as in your health is the most important thing you have.
"Dont have to be wealthy to be healthy.Get it? Good night."
It comes after she tweeted on Monday saying she was craving her health juices after eating processed food.
She faced more criticism at the weekend when fans called her out again for apparently photoshopping a picture.
Posing in a lilac lace body suit for a busty mirror seflie, people appeared to be more distracted by her unnatural looking hip.

One begged: “Lauren, give up with the photoshop!”
Another wrote: “Your hip is lumpy and your arms bulging? How is this ‘natural’? Stop photoshopping, you’re beautiful without it.”
Just a week ago Lauren’s followers accused her of photoshopping an Instagram picture.
Eagle-eyed Instagram uses think she may have given the image a bit of a tweak as they thought the mirror appears wonky.
