Coronation Street’s Shona Ramsey turns ‘detective’ on boyfriend David Platt’s rapist Josh Tucker following his horrifying ordeal
Soap fans recently saw the hairdresser drugged and sexually assaulted by his friend
CORONATION Street's Shona Ramsey will attempt to find out why boyfriend David Platt has been acting strangely following his secret rape ordeal.
The cast have been spotted filming upcoming scenes of the soap, which sees the inquisitive character, played by Julia Goulding, turn "detective" while trying to work out what has happened to her partner, played by Jack P. Shepherd.
Corrie viewers will watch her discover more about rapist Josh Tucker's past, as the aftermath of his attack on David continues to unfold.
In new scenes, Shona tracks down a former garage where the mechanic, played by Ryan Clayton, used to work.
However, when she mentions Josh's name to garage worker Dec, it doesn't go down how she'd hoped.
Instead the man refuses to speak and storms off, leaving David's girlfriend even more confused.
While filming the unfolding storyline, Shona can be seen approaching Dec and asking him some questions.
He looks uncomfortable and storms off halfway through their brief conversation.
Since his rape, David hasn't opened up to anyone about what has happened to him.
Meanwhile, Josh has been trying to manipulate Shona and ward her off the scent.
After David realised he had been raped, he tried to confront Josh, who made out it was consensual.
When he got home, he was forced to face the wrath of his girlfriend, who was livid that he stayed out all night and didn’t contact her.
David just wanted to get himself cleaned up and wasn't interested in what Shona had to say, leaving her fuming.
The pair soon made up when Josh told Shona not to be hard on her boyfriend who just needed to let off some steam with a mate because he was upset to hear his dad is planning to move to New Zealand.
