Paperchase sells birthday card for two-year-olds that says it is not suitable for under threes
Jill Cooper, 69, spotted the error when she bought the card for a friend’s daughter
PAPERCHASE is selling birthday cards for two-year-olds with a warning on the back saying it’s not suitable for under threes.
The card has a “2” on the front and a lion whose tongue goes in when you wiggle its hat.
Jill Cooper, 69, bought it for a friend’s daughter and was annoyed when she realised it was not safe.
The former nursery manager, from Gidea Park, Essex, said: “As I was putting it in the envelope I spotted the warning and was shocked at the oversight.
"I wasn’t really sure what was dangerous but I decided not to give it in the end.

"My guess would be that the parts might come loose and could be a choking risk.”
The blunder comes after the retailer last year messed up the design of hundreds of diaries by printing the year 2108 instead of 2018.
Paperchase has not commented.
