Do you remember Del Boy’s son Damien in Only Fools & Horses? Here’s what Benjamin Smith is up to now
The child actor has starred in a number of other projects, and thankfully Benjamin Smith behaves nothing like his Only Fools alter-ego in real life
REMEMBER annoying little Damien Trotter from Only Fools And Horses? Thankfully he looks a lot less demonic nowadays.
Renowned for wearing chunky gold chains and wreaking havoc on the show, Damien Trotter knew just how to wind his uncle Rodney up.
Who was Damien Trotter?
The character from the cult British show, played by Benjamin Smith, caused a lot of mischief in the cockney sitcom.
In the series, Rodney could see right through Damien’s antics, but his parents Del Boy and Raquel treated him like their little darling.
Rodney often compared sneaky Damien to devil spawn, referencing his namesake in the iconic 1976 horror film, The Omen.
Throughout the seven series of Only Fools and Horses, Damien was played by six different actors.
Thankfully, one of the men who played Damien, Benjamin Smith, looks (and acts) far from demonic in real life.
What is Benjamin Smith doing now?
After his brief stint on the British sitcom from 2001-2003, Ben continued to pursue a career in acting.
A year after appearing in Only Fools and Horses, Ben played Reece Keys in TV movie Passer By, which also starred James Nesbitt.
Other well-known shows that Ben featured in include Doctor Who, The Hustle and The Bill.
He also made brief appearances in popular British TV shows Silent Witness, Doctors and Holby City.
In 2008, Ben put his London roots back into good use, by joining the cast of EastEnders.
For four episodes, Ben took on the role of Tegs, the ringleader of an intimidating gang called E20.
As well as causing havoc in the square, Ben’s character Tegs stabbed Jay Mitchell and was arrested.
